Here are a few examples of rates for your special event: soloist for 1 hour = 100 dollars duo for 1 hour = 200 dollars trio for 1 hour = 300 dollars quartet for 1 hour = 400 dollars *larger ensembles available* What is the difference between the solo, duo, trio and quartet? The major difference is what some musicians call the depth of sound. In general the string quartet is standard, offering full depth with four independent voices. The trio is a good compromise between the quartet and duo, offering comparable depth with slightly less volume.
