Hugo Kauder was a mid-century Viennese composer, pedagogue, and émigré to
America, who defied the atonal trend of his generation with his uniquely harmonic,
contrapuntal style. His legacy of over 300 works, many yet to be published, is
receiving renewed interest today.

The Hugo Kauder Society hopes to share Kauder's music with the next generation of
musicians and listeners. Its annual competition supports emerging young musicians
while connecting them with Kauder's work.

We hope you will enjoy discovering Kauder's story and music and become a player,
listener and supporter of his work.

This introduction to Hugo Kauder is from the website of the Hugo Kauder Society.
It is an excellent site with great information about Mr. Kauder and his works. I
strongly suggest reading this unique composer's story and if you are a musican,
learn and perform his works!
